Two gentlemen were walking down Gannett Street and met one of HOPE’s ushers. They recognized that he was from HOPE and asked him for $50.00. The usher didn’t have $50.00 to give them, but he began talking with them and learned that HOPE is quite well known around the community. They shared that, their interaction with churches has all been the same; they have to go to the church to get help. But not HOPE, HOPE goes to the people and offers help. And, because HOPE has developed such a reputation of generosity, the men felt bold enough to ask for $50.00 instead of just a couple bucks. Our radical generosity is causing people to react in boldness and great hope!
